Quitman Junior High Bands



We hope you will use this site often to find out what is new for the 6th, 7th and 8th grade bands at Quitman Junior High.

 Students interested in color guard

Any 7th or 8th grade students who are interested in doing color guard during high school are welcome to come to the high school clinic days. The next clinic day will be on Tuesday, Feb. 21st. The clinic will last until 5:30. The students will be learning flag basics. At future clinic days students will have the opportunity to learn dance basics and beginning tosses. 


                Junior High Panther Wind Ensemble Auditions

The Junior High Panther Wind Ensemble will be comprised of the top students from the 7th & 8th grade bands. The students selected will perform at a concert festival where they will receive scores and feedback from judges. The tentative festival dates are 4/12 or 4/13. The rehearsal dates will be: 2/25*Saturday rehearsal*, 3/9, 3/23, 4/6. All rehearsals will be after school and are mandatory. Unexcused absences may result in dismissal from the group.

                                                                        Panther of the Month                                                                              Students names are placed into a drawing based off of their improvements and successes. If a student's name is drawn they get a small prize.
